Does anyone have ideas on organizing a card making event in a scrapbooking store?

As Associate a scrapbook store that recently moved, I was asked to come up with some ideas to bring people have offered discounts We ect. Nothing really worked. I love making cards and hopes to develop something to bring people, I've never done before and would like some ideas.

Try a make & take for the cards … have basic supplies included in the base price (keep it cheap), then offer "add ons" at sale prices to encourage people who have not made the cards before making the hobby. Our local scrapbook store has a regular Friday night or Saturday "party" … they munchies available, keep it light and fun, everyone is welcome to bring their own supplies (but there is always that "one thing that will make it perfect" to be purchased at the last minute every Regular store price). My favorite "parts", there were those late night held from 8-midnight or later. Was a nice relaxing time away from kids and "real life".
